The Poem Is a Language-Place Where Thinking Trembles Vibrates
A keynote talk by award-winning poet and translator, Erin Moure, on what readers might learn about language in “receiving the poem” and, as a result of their reception, how they might become more capable as language/s users and sharers who exist and co-exist in the world with others. Her talk highlights why scholars working with literatures, and poetry practices, in all the varieties of the English language, can gain from considering translational thinking that comes into English from other languages.
Co-sponsored by Association for Canadian and Quebec Literatures (ACQL) and Canadian Comparative Literature Association (CCLA).
