Employer and Employee Perceptions of Micro-credentials
Funded by Future Skills Centre and in partnership with SAIT and Bow Valley College, NAIT has conducted a research study of Alberta students and employers’ perspectives on micro-credentials with an emphasis on the Information Technology, Renewable Energy and Project Management sectors. The research’s conceptual framework will help guide the future investment and development of micro-credentials and ensure programming addresses the demonstrated needs and expectations of earners and employers, particularly in growth sectors of the Alberta economy. The report is recently published and we plan to share the findings with our boarder CSSE community using this platform. https://fsc-ccf.ca/projects/employer-and-employee-perceptions-of-microcredentials-and-quality-of-work/
The study’s conceptual framework will help guide the future investment and development of micro-credentials and ensure programming addresses the demonstrated needs and expectations of earners and employers, particularly in growth sectors of the Alberta economy. So far, we have received great feedback from various PSIs within Alberta and in Canada.
