Rachel Schumacher

Rachel Schumacher is the Federation's Lead, Meetings & Events.
Prior to joining the Federation in February 2021, Rachel worked in the wedding industry as a Social Media Manager and Junior Planner, led and facilitated a community outreach program call G.I.R.L. (Growing Into Real Leaders), and completed an internship at Fairtrade Canada which helped to plan the 2020 Canadian Fairtrade Awards in Calgary, Alberta.
Rachel holds a Graduate Certificate in Event Management from Algonquin College, where she held the title of Logistics Lead and helped to motivate her team to raise money for three local charities on a zero-dollar budget. Her team managed to raise over $11,000 in silent auction items alone. Rachel also earned a diploma in Health Sciences and Health Promotion, with an emphasis on international non-profits.
Rachel has made it her 2022 goal to become fluent in French. In her free time, you will find Rachel going for hikes, cooking, or playing with her dog Tucker. It is also a safe bet that you will find Rachel trying to gather people to play cards and board games.
