Committees
Board nomination process
In preparation for the annual Board elections, the Governance and Nominating Committee meets following the close of nominations to review the list of candidates for all vacant Board positions submitted by the members and the Board, and put forward a slate of recommended candidates for election at the Annual Meeting.
The members of the 2025-26 Governance & Nominating Committee are:
- Barrington Walker, Committee Chair
- Annie Pilote,
- David Malloy
- Genevieve Fuji Johnson
2026 Call for Nominations
The Federation is now accepting nominations for four (4) positions on the Board of Directors. Members are invited to nominate qualified candidates for this position by February 27, 2026, at midnight ET. The election of new Board members will take place during the 2026 Annual Meeting.
Current priorities include Francophone and Québec representation, disciplinary breadth within the social sciences, and institutional and scholarly perspectives.
