98 - Canadian Association of Learned Journals (CALJ)
The Canadian Association of Learned Journals (CALJ) focuses on the wellbeing of scholarly journals in Canada. The CALJ annual conference aims to convene stakeholders to discuss a range of topics that are critical to the scholarly journal community. This year’s conference begins with a collaborative symposium between Coalition Publica and CALJ, titled “Canadian Symposium of Scholarly Journals,” which will provide timely discussions on the rapidly changing scholarly communications landscape, covering issues such as recognition, evaluation, expertise, and funding. Following the collaborative symposium, the CALJ annual conference will include presentations and panel discussions on key topics in scholarly journal publishing, including editorial practices, equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility, journal funding, open access and open science policies, and the rapidly accelerating role of generative artificial intelligence. CALJ members and other interested stakeholders in the scholarly communications ecosystem are warmly invited to attend.
This conference is taking place virtually. Please review the conference program if available or contact your association for details.
