16 - Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education (CSSHE)

The Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education (CSSHE) connects scholarship related to postsecondary education, especially in the perspectives of equity, diversity, collaboration, and understanding in the challenging landscape of higher education in Canada and beyond. The CSSHE annual conference brings together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and graduate students in higher education and related fields from all across Canada and around the world. Following the 2023 Congress theme Reckonings and Re-imaginings, CSSHE invites members of the social sciences and humanities community to re-consider how we can reflect on our knowledge toward taking actions to build and engage in a more diverse, sustainable, and equitable society and world for the future. In line with CSSHE’s Strategic Plan, the theme encourages and strengthens our commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization (EDID), and on Black and Indigenous experiences and scholarships in higher education in Canada. We are delighted to welcome you back to an in-person conference after three years, while keeping the virtual portion of the conference with the potential to open up CSSHE to a wider diversity of people and topics and try our best to accommodate people’s needs with time and location.
