The Canadian Society for the Study of Names (CSSN/SCO) will convene in 2024 under the theme “Naming in our World”. Since 1967, it promotes the study of all aspects on names, naming, and denomination in Canada and abroad. Members’ interests in a large spectrum of onomastic or toponymic topics relate to many fields of research as: linguistics, history, geography, economics, literature and others. Diversity and originality in subjects and provenance are always well appreciated. The Society publishes an official bilingual journal, now on-line, called "Onomastica Canadiana" since 1982.
