CATR 2024: Staging Justice: People, Places, Planet, and Practice
How do formulations of justice shape, shift, augment and influence understandings of the performing arts and theatre/performance scholarship? What debates and dilemmas emerge when theatre and/or performance is directly engaged as justice? How are theatre artists and scholars performing (in)justice? How have theatre and performance oriented to justice across time, space, and generations? CATR 2024 seeks to engage with these queries through a particular focus on justice in relation to people, places, planet and practice. June 5-6, 2024 (Act One) online and June 17-20, 2024 (Act Two) in-person.
