Registration
Registration opens January 2026.
The early bird deadline is April 8, 2026.
If you identify as a Black or Indigenous Student, you can access these complimentary fees via the registration page.
Before connecting with us, please complete the following steps:
- Ensure that all required fields on the form, marked with a red asterick (*), are filled in. You must respond to these fields to proceed to the next page of the form and to complete and submit your form.
- Make sure that credit card payment information is entered correctly. If you receive an error, verify with your bank whether your card allows online payments.
- Check that JavaScript is enabled on your web browser and that your browser is up-to-date. It is recommended that you use Google Chrome for the best user experience.

If you have registered for any event organized by the Federation since 2019, you can use your email address and password associated with your profile you provided the last time you registered for an event or completed a form. If you’ve forgotten your password, select the “reset password” link and you’ll receive an email to reset your password. Please check your junk/spam/quarantine folder for your reset password email.
You will receive an email from the registration system with a link to return to your “incomplete registration form”. Be sure to check your junk/spam/quarantine folders if you don't receive it shortly.
If you haven’t received this email, return to the Big Thinking Summit 2026 registration system and click "modify your existing 2026 registration" to return to your incomplete registration.
Go to the Register page, click the Register button, then once redirected click “Modify your existing registration” or click on the link in your confirmation email. Enter your email address (username) and the password you created to access your registration, and then make the necessary changes or additions.
Cancellations until May 8, 2026, are subject to a 10% administrative fee. Refunds or cancelations after May 8 are subject to a 25% administrative fee.
Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit and AMEX credits cards are all acceptable online payment methods.
An automated receipt is available on the Confirmation page of your registration (final page after payment). A link to your receipt is also emailed to you automatically once your registration is confirmed.
If you require specific information on your receipt for reimbursement that is not on the automated receipt, inform events@federationhss.ca.

Registration to the Summit grants you access to all programming and events, table top displays, and several social spaces in the convention centre that offer food and beverages.
Please note that attendance to the Federation ‘s 30th Anniversary Gala: At the Inflection Point requires the purchase of a separate ticket.

The Big Thinking Summit will be held at the Edmonton Convention Centre in Edmonton, Alberta from June 9 – 11, 2026.
The Summit will take place in person, with some events available as recordings following the conference.

Yes, your information is secure.
Cyberbullying is real, and seven per cent of Canadians experience it personally, according to Statistics Canada. If you are the victim of online harassment or bullying, there are resources available to you, and Summit organizers encourage you to use them. Yes, the payment of the Summit fee is mandatory for all attendees including presenter, speakers, panelists, organizers, and those moderating/chairing or attending a session. If you are speaking at the Summit, you will have access to the Early Bird rates for the full duration of the ticketing period. Read more about the Summit fees.
