Are you a scholar who wants to make a real difference in advancing research and equity in publishing?
We are seeking volunteer members to join the Publications Committee for our Scholarly Book Awards program.
As a committee member, you will:
- Review up to 15 book funding applications per year, focusing on peer reviews and author responses (no full manuscripts!)
- Contribute your expertise to Canada’s national peer review process
- Help shape a more inclusive, equitable publishing landscape
- Stay connected with leading-edge research across disciplines
Who we’re looking for:
Scholars with research or publishing experience who read English, French, or both, and have demonstrated experience in their subject area. We encourage applications from early-career researchers and scholars with diverse academic backgrounds, lived experiences, and social identities.
Commitment:
- Volunteer role – 3-year term (renewable once)
- Estimated review workload: up to 15 applications/year
