Québec’s Réseau Circé: a mandate to promote the development and sustainability of scholarly journals

Réseau Circé is a research network comprising four interrelated divisions whose mandate is to “mobilize the scholarly publishing community of Quebec to promote scientific publication in French” (https://reseaucirce.org/en/). Funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec, Réseau Circé provides support for French-language scientific journals to facilitate the transition to the immediate open access diamond model and ensure the visibility, vitality and sustainability of scholarly publishing in French.
The panel will bring together Francis Gingras (Université de Montréal), Managing Director of the Réseau, who will give a general overview of its mission, Anne Marie-Fortier (Université Laval), Director of the Scholarly Journals Division, Tanja Niemann (Érudit), Director of the Platform Division, Stéphanie Gagnon (Université Laval), Director of the Libraries Division, and Vincent Larivière (Université de Montréal), Director of the Discoverability Division, who will speak to each division’s role, objectives and activities.
The panel will be held in French with simultaneous translation into English. Participants will be welcome to speak and to ask questions in either French or English.
