Nominations are open for the Federation’s Board of Directors

Nominations open today, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 for seven positions on the Board of Directors of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences. The open positions are:

  • Director, Research Policy
  • Director, Research Dissemination
  • Director, Institutions (2 positions)
  • Director, Associations (2 positions)

Please note that the Board of Directors will also nominate a Treasurer, as per the Federation’s Governance Policy. If you are interested in this position and would like you candidacy to be considered, please contact Véronique Mallet.

Nominations can be made by current General Assembly representatives and members of the Board of Directors. Nominees must be (1) affiliated with a learned society, association, university or college which is a member of the Federation and (2) either currently or previously engaged in teaching and/or research in the humanities or social sciences.

If you are not a General Assembly representative but wish to put your name or someone else’s name forward for election, contact Véronique Mallet for further information.

Nominations will close at the end of the business day on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Online elections will take place from February 2 to 13, 2015.

Nominees should note that the Board of Directors will meet on March 27 and 28, 2015 and elected candidates are expected to attend.
