This briefing is being convened to present the Federation’s new Strategic Plan, being released next week, and to explore how Deans, collectively, may wish to engage with and help shape its implementation, including through closer collaboration among Deans and with the Federation.
During this hour, the Federation will emphasize how its new plan aims to respond to pressures facing humanities and social sciences leaders and scholars across the postsecondary sector. The briefing will also include a discussion of the potential scope and structure of ongoing engagement with Deans, either through a dedicated Forum or Council.

Please be advised that the Federation plans to host dedicated sessions for Deans during the Big Thinking Summit: Inflection Point (Edmonton, June 9–11, 2026). Early bird registration for three-day Summit passes is open until April 9.
