Hisham Al Khatib is a Professor at George Brown College in Toronto, with over a decade of experience in the education sector. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Carleton University, a master’s degree in English Literature from the American University of Beirut, and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Language from the Lebanese University. He is currently completing an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership to broaden his expertise in institutional development and leadership.

Hisham has held faculty positions at several institutions, including the American University of Beirut, Carleton University, and currently, George Brown College. His teaching portfolio includes English literature, Research Methods, Critical Thinking, and Communication courses across Business, Health, and Social Sciences programs.

Administratively, he served for over five years as Administrative Services Chief at the Graduate Students’ Association at Carleton University, and later as a Planning Consultant for the Ottawa Public Library. Most recently, he served as the local coordinator for George Brown College’s participation in Congress 2025, where he was responsible for coordinating planning and event logistics.

His research interests focus on organizational behaviour, strategic leadership, and inclusive practices in higher education. Hisham is committed to promoting academic environments that are supportive, equitable, and forward-looking.
