Open events

This exhibit curated by the Student Success Team at the School of ESL, CPLS is about honouring our stories—those carried, remembered, and shared. It invites you to pause and listen—to the voices of those who have crossed borders, navigated new beginnings, and shaped their lives across different places and identities.

Through suitcases filled with personal artifacts, alongside photography, interviews, writing, and art, the exhibit traces the journeys people have made and the memories they carry. These stories speak not only of departure and arrival, but of resilience, identity, and the meaning of home.

Each object, image, and voice offers a glimpse into lived experience—of movement, memory, and the complex ways we carry our histories forward. By reflecting on these shared stories, we honour the people behind them, and the many ways we find home.
