We’re thrilled to introduce Confluences, the theme for Congress 2027, taking place virtually in May, and in person at Simon Fraser University in July 2027.
At Congress 2027, you are invited to explore the histories we elucidate, the languages we connect through, the cultures we inherit, and the places and communities we form, and are formed by, over time. The theme celebrates humanities and social sciences scholars as knowledge mobilizers, sense-makers, interpreters, translators and leaders.
Congress’ first fully open program welcomes scholars, students, community members, partners, and everyone interested in the possibilities these forces carry. With the new reimagined Congress model, you will be able to openly participate across scholarly conferences, keynotes, and everything else Congress has to offer with a streamlined single registration.
Drawing inspiration from the mountains and waters surrounding Simon Fraser University, Congress 2027: Confluences invites us all to gather and converge across the conversations ahead.
