CFHSS renewal

The Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences is undertaking a renewal, which includes re-examining and updating many aspects of our public image—our website, our narrative and possibly even our name.

Under the guidance of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, and with the input of an advisory committee, the secretariat is developing proposals on a new name that will help increase awareness of the organization, reduce confusion with SSHRC and other PSE organizations, and make us memorable to a wide range of stakeholders. The Board expects to discuss two concepts at its March meeting.

Your participation is vital to the organization, and we would love your input during this process.

We have created a short, three-question survey to gauge your opinion on some potential concepts. Please complete the survey Friday, February 10 to share your thoughts with us.

If you have any comments or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Alison Hebbs, Director, Policy and Communications, 613-238-6112 ext. 351.

Many thanks in advance for your participation—we look forward to sharing more about this undertaking in the upcoming months.
