Melba Villamizar Rodriguez

ASPP Program Officer

Melba is the Awards to Scholarly Publications Program (ASPP) Officer.

Before joining the Federation, most of her experience was in an academic context, as a Teaching Assistant and Contract Instructor at Carleton University, and a Research Assistant and Guest Lecturer at National University of Colombia. 
She holds a Bachelor in Sociology from the National University of Colombia and an MA in Music and Culture from Carleton University, where she is currently a PhD candidate in Cultural Mediations. 
She grew up in Colombia and speaks English, French, and Spanish. 

In her free time, Melba likes reading, cooking, listening to music, and going to the movies.
